When Barbara established her first Montessori Pre-school she had no background in education, but she had a dream!
From that foundation of dreams, heart and soul - and through a process of blood, sweat and tears - Barbara built the thriving business she enjoys today.

Jessica Langford
has 15 years experience as an early childhood educator but a lifetime of experience in Montessori! Jessica had the advantage of naturally absorbing the nuances of the Montessori method through her childhood experiences before studying the method in depth as an adult.

Barbara maintains connections at all levels of the early childhood sector - from the classroom to the boardroom to government stakeholder groups. She is currently on the executive of Australian Childcare Alliance (SA), is a senior consultant for Montessori Australia and for many years held the Presidency of Childcare Associations Australia (CAA).
When it comes to early childhood, Barbara has seen it all, done it all, been through it all and overcome it all. She's ready to help you do the same!
Jessica is a published and prolific writer and enjoys developing resources to share with others so that centres are not forced to 'reinvent the wheel' with documentation!
Jessica also has a keen interest in promoting holistic wellbeing for people of all ages and obtained a Diploma in Positive Psychology to achieve this.
Barbara and Jessica Langford are a mother and daughter team who share a passion for facilitating excellence in early childhood education and care.
Both have received widespread recognition for their skills and achievements from sector organisations, including the Montessori Australia Foundation. Barbara is a recipient of the National Excellence in Teaching Award and Jessica was honoured as the inaugural 'Rising Star' of the Australian Family Child Care Awards.
Barbara and Jessica have both toured nationally and internationally presenting workshops and providing in-service mentoring.
Both Barbara and Jessica are certified practitioners of the Strengths Profile model - a positive psychology based tool for supporting staff development and wellbeing from a strengths perspective.
